Renewable Energy Rider - Oral Session
On Friday, May 10th, 2013 the Fair Trading Commission will be holding an oral session where respondents to the Commission’s “Public Consultation on the Barbados Light and Power Renewable Energy Rider“ will be given the opportunity to present their views to the Commission’s Electricity Panel. The Renewable Energy Rider credit is given to customers for the excess electricity that is generated from their renewable energy systems that they have installed primarily for their private use.
The issues for the Commission’s consideration are related to the value of the renewable energy rider credit, the metering and billing arrangements, the contract period and the capacity limit.

The meeting will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre and members of the public may attend the session as observers.
